Return Policy at Kohl's

Kohl’s has one of the best ‘No Questions Asked, Hassle Free’ Return Policies of any discount store. As it stands right now, you can return an item in-store even if you don’t have a receipt as the customer service desk can locate Kohl’s Charge purchases for up to 12 months after the date of purchase and the credit can be applied directly to your account. If you are looking for a non Kohl’s Charge refund or a refund outside of the 2 month window then you qualify for Kohl’s Merchandise credit or a corporate issued refund.

Return/Exchange of online orders

In-store: All you need is to bring the packing slip and the item you want to exchange to the Customer Service Desk of any store near you

By Mail: Simply fill in the return form that accompanies every order then place the item and the packing slip in a sturdy box. Note that returning items by mail does require prepaid shipping and that exchanges are not currently offered via mail. Also, the item must not have been worn or used before returning it.

Kohls.com purchases will be credited to the account used for the purchase, unless you indicate otherwise. In order to receive a credit on a different account, complete the credit/payment method section of the return form that accompanied your order. To avoid return shipping and handling costs, return the item to a Kohl’s store near you.

Freight Delivered Item Returns:

Simply follow the instructions on the red stop sign sticker affixed to your delivery carton to return your item but do not return the item to a Kohl’s store. Rather call Kohl's Customer Service at (855) 564-5705 for easy returns. Note that shipping costs and surcharges will not be refunded and a 15% re-stocking fee will be assessed, unless the return is made because the item is defective.

Return/exchange in-store purchase

At a Store: To return or exchange an item purchased in-store, bring the item and your receipt to the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store near you.

By Mail: Kohl’s is unable to accept mailed returns for items purchased in a store. If your item was purchased in a store, then you will need to visit the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store near you.

Return/exchange a gift

At a Store: To return or exchange a gift, bring it with your gift receipt to the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store near you. And note that gifts purchased in-store can only be returned in-store.

By Mail: If your gift arrived by mail, you can return it by mail. For gifts received by mail the same return policy as for items that you ordered yourself is applicable.

A credit to your charge card will take an average of seven days to appear in your account. Credit time frames can vary based on bank processing times. If you have questions, then you will need to contact your bank.
